A few recommendations

Hi, can anybody recommend me the best place to get a replacement carpet from for my mk1 golf gti please.  I know VW heritage sell them but im not sure of the quality and was hoping there may be somewhere that sells something very similar to the original carpet quality.  Im also in need of some kind of sound deadening material if anyone knows of some good stuff?.  Finally where is the best place to get a new headliner from?  Cheers.

He's bought stuff for Mk1's from all over the place, so he might just have a thought or two on it!

There's a company in Germany that does new carpets. They do post worldwide if that's what your looking for.
New one in 250 Euros, so about 200 Pound + post.

heritage use the newton carpets i think, if so the fit is pretty good. not 100% but good enough for me

 I knew newton did them but after getting their sound deadening kit was worried that the quality of the carpets might not be upto much.  Has anyone had a set from them?  How do they compare to the original carpets?.  Ideally id get a set that was as close to the original as possible which was a really deep pile.  Thats company in germany has a LHD set advertised, gofcabrio do you know anyone that has ordered from them?
  The next thing on the list is sound deadening, having already had the stuff from newton commercial im looking for something a bit better if anyone can help?

I think its hard to get pile as deep as the original carpet !!
Shughy has Newtons carpets in his Sportline I'm sure :-/

That's what I thought but was hoping something would come close, what are peoples opinions of the replacement carpets they have fitted?

I think I read somewhere they do RHD carpets, if they don't then there's a similar company on ebay.de that does.
But I don't know of anyone buying from either, you'd have to look at their 'Feedback'.   

the newton ones arnt very deep pile, the fit takes a little fettlign in places but once in it looks ok. id get genner carpets next time though since they arnt cheap by a long shot!

Ok more digging required then, ill have a look on ebay etc and fire classic parts an email just incase they know of any.  Like a fool i chucked out my genuine carpets as they were a little worn thinking id get a nice new set. Idiot.
