Mind you he could be all of the above.  

Are the sender spoiler and the laza paint  Welsh spellings?  -come to think, where is the 'sender' front spoiler it mentions?  Exposed cambelt looks worrying as well.

Oh dear…Plus where's the optional front 'sender' spoiler?….Looks like the original to me….Plus the Campaign steering wheel seems to have lost its leather covering.

Front 'VW' emblem is silver….Any others besides the 'Y' plate..Come on all you Campaign Boys & Girls !!!!!

Yeah there's a number of things wrong with it for sure but have you seen this post if you really want to get your teeth in it!

Also the "Y" plate might and only might come into question as well (but I'm playing a little game here)
In the sense of, VW UK could get there hands on the paperwork for new cars even before they were being transported from the factory.
They just had to be completed.

Now if they were looking for registrations as they were and still are, then it's (rhetorically possible) for them to register then car as a (demo) many months before it got to the Dealer.

But!  

Sunroof a big tell you can just see it's an aftermarket one?

Well let's see what else we can find that's not quite right, Campaign or otherwise.

- no front fogs
-no plastic trim on drivers seat hinge
-no temp level sender on washer bottle
-no strut top covers
- no cover over radiator edge
-wrong wheel caps and possibly mk2 wheel
-can't see an arial hole in wing
-wrong gearknob
-chrome trim around the dash panel from GLS
-Red instrument pointers -from Sportline?


However -it does look quite sound from the pictures so could be a simple project for someone, wonder what the engine is as doesn't look like the usual 2 litre swap from  the later Vw's I have seen. wonder if it could be a GTI engineering/BRMotorsport/TSR Conversion?

Also looks like the side stripes are missing, the seal that goes on the gutter that goes on the rain tray & could do with a hoover  

Looks nice, just not a campaign or worth 4.5k. 

Oooopsie, didn't see the glass sunroof in the pics when I was on my phone!    

Ha! I did try to send him the campaign link above by the email provision on his advert, but it wouldn't let me for some reason. It would be doing him a favour to avoid him potentially being sued later by a gullible purchaser. In the end it seems like a decent non-campaign, but overpriced.

I went to see this one and even though it has the correct vin numbers for a campaign, it was on mk2 wheels, non leather steering wheel and a few other bits, the guy said people like buying the cars then buying the parts to put it right…….at the time it was up for 5500!!! Oh it was hpi'd and was a cat c but had nothing on the log book and when I did the government mot checker it had 150k at its last mot….but was advertised as "a genuine 83k" some right dodgy gits out there!

The link doesn't work but using the item number from it I think that's the clubs friends in Stoke selling that as private sellers and yes they are dodgy. Just ask Swerve !

if you look at the pics they couldn't even be bothered to remove the door pins to paint or flick out the little plastic bungs in the b pillar as they are all covered in red paint.
God knows what else they couldn't be bothered to do properly?

Now Yomp says who is selling it makes sense, saw it advertised some time ago and looked suspect - but seen some of the other stuff they sell - the Red "Campaign" they had at Stanford Hall was presented appallingly wonder if this is the same one just with the wheels swapped?

Yes but not good ones.
They s**t their own nest when they used threatening behavior towards our previous chairman who was trying to sort out a problem a member had got with them.
The folded arm stance on their website captures their attitude a treat I reckon!
