V power nitro +, any one using this ?

Hello, just as the title read, the shell v power nitro +, has anyone used this in their GTI , and has it made any difference and is it better than. The normal unleaded as they claim ? Be nice to know people's view on this 

I use it in my daily cupra and its seems to run better 

I was planning in putting some in to my GTI, people say it's good for performance cars dunno why tho as it's a fuel that can be used in all unleaded cars I presumed 

Your GTI engine was designed for 98 RON fuel and normal unleaded is 95 RON. So you should find a little more power, more mpg and less chance of pinking.
I think in everyday driving if it does not pink you will notice very little difference. But you could run a little more advance to generate more power from the fuel that is less prone to early detonation.

I always run super in mine and she is definitely more responsive. But mine being supercharged has a compression ratio of 8.5:1 so easily copes with ordinary unleaded, as I found out when going to Ireland as they do not have super at all !!

i use it all time, i found my gti didnt like to start properly with the standard unleaded, runs better no pinking job done

Do MK1s actually prefer the super stuff or would it be too 'rich' for such an old engine? I was worried to put shell V power in mine incase the injection system didnt like it….

The opposite actually, the GTI engine is a high compression engine 10.5:1 it designed to run higher octane fuel

Lol i was the same santi, but I think that what I'm going to stick to now for the GTI, my fuel was low already so I think all the new fuel going in will be v power nitro +, the station near me has normal unleaded for 109.9 and this v power nitro + is 117.9 but well worth the money and if we remember correctly we were paying more than. That on normal unleaded at one point so it's a good deal if it helps our little monsters
