It's a bit of a big ask to price it without seeing it but it's going to be worth 3k plus

It's all about how much he wants for it, he might be a dreamer and want 15k what he spent which is unrealistic

He'd have been better off restoring to original spec if he ever wanted to see some of his cash again.

MK1 prices are all over the place at the moment, I think driven by the over-heating classic market with even mundane stuff like minis and escorts making £10,000s.

There is a white Campaign on ebay that looks like its been dragged from a swamp complete with rotten roof and its already over £1000

It also depends how much money you've got..

If you've got 3k in your bank then you could by a run of the mill mk1 and easily sink 5k on top of any purchase price with unknown and hidden problems. If you know it's all straight and correct then can be worth up to 8k on that basis then

What about history, number of owners etc…?
Taxed an MOT'd?
What do you estimate it would cost to put it back to 100% original? (whatever number you have in your head, double it)   O_o
But it's only then it will be in big money bracket relatively speaking.
Photos of the restoration process etc…
What processes were used for the bodywork and paint?

We could go on for a long time with this but I hope you see the point here!

Not trying to put you off either but don't want to watch you being taken to the cleaners!

Crikey, the white ebayer is now over £2000. Looks like most outer panels need replacing and the engine doesn't run…..

That's stupid money for the white one.   I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't really sell and turn up for sale again ..
