There seems to have been a wide variety of them available in addition to the 'official' VW / Hella version most people probably think about.

I was aware of the likes of D&W, Carello, Cibie etc. but the Italian 'Aric' brand below I'd certainly never heard of until I saw the pics…

Excluding the body-kit versions from the likes of Zender, Kamei and others that look very different from the standard slatted one I'd imagine there's even more unknowns out there.

It was hard to tell the difference anyway, basically a different brand of lights, but near identical grille.

Just plundered eBay and found this Carello version currently for sale. Always liked this particular one after seeing it on a very nice red car, here on the forum, along with ATS cups.

Read somewhere they're favoured by owners of cars with aircon as the lights sit further forward and accommodate the extra plumbing, probably a crock -

Anyhow, got me looking into it all a bit further and turned this one up in the process.

Was in a filthy state but intact and cleaned up really well…

Apparently it was marketed by VW through their Votex / VWMS brands but prepared for them by 'Marchal' a French company (now Valeo I think?)

Seems there were two versions, '810' like this one which are fog lights and '819' which are spots.

Didn't know it at the time so just good luck it was the fogs as it'll be going on a Campaign so plug'n'play through the existing wiring.

Maybe those with the others I mentioned (and didn't mention) could stick up a few pic's… might turn into a useful reference.
