Is there any way I can find out which dealership supplied my car originally . I think its from the surrey area going of its earliest MOT's but have no documentation in the huge pile I have with any dealership details.

Shame you don't have the original service book, that'd tell you!

I don't think the heritage certificate info will tell you. You could send an email to VW Germany and ask - they may not reply quick but they do always get back to you unlike UK head office!!)

They may only be able to tell you which port it was shipped to, but worth a try Tankerman24

You can work out where the car was first registered by the last 2 letters of the 3 letter combo. It will narrow the area down but not the actual dealer. Also try searching close number plates to yours on the web or even our register. You may find something that way.

If you don't mind paying a fiver, you can fill in a V888 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/v888-request-by-an-individual-for-information-about-a-vehicle and get all previous V5 info, including the supplying dealership.
