weber carb conversion...

Have recently purchased a 89 cabby for the wife and it's had a Webber carb conversion but I'm finding it is not that good on idle and if you push too hard on the throttle it will stall.
once running its ok but still a little temperamentel has any one any ideas as to what might need to be done to sort out this issue,it's had a new carb to inlet manifold gasket just last week but still not running properly.

Cheers in advance TV…

try taking off the swirl pot and block the return. if its fixed refit the ot and put a 0.8mm weldign tip in the fuel return hose. the swirl pot should have a restrictor built in but it often goes missing

OK,
Thanks for your input much appreciated.
Took the car to my local garage for a check over as the 7 mile run i took it out on had me spluttering and having to catch it just right or it was going to stall.

Garage called me up to say theres a fly in your carb!!
Yep a huge fly blocking the jet and some other sludge in the pot so its all ok now runnng like a dream.
