My 5,000th post!

Yes it shocked me as well when I saw the number.  

I'm currently on 4,976 not including this one in the three years and four months I've been a member of this great Club.
Just can't believe what an impact you Guys and Girls have had on my life, especially being an ex-pat and all.

Like any family we've had our ups and downs but to be fair not many of the latter, I only wish I could say that about my real family!  

I only joined this Club to ask a question having bought my first Mk1 after 30 years of waiting for the right right moment.
You remember my Mk1 'Schrat' the unluckiest Mk1 in the world that's about to go in for his 5th accident repair since I've owned him.
This poor sod has been crashed into once every 12 weeks I've had him on the road each year, none of which have been my fault and a total cost in excess of double the value of the car to all the various insurance companies.  
 
I did think about naming a few of you but to be absolutely honest there's far, far to many of you for that but you know who you are!
Your knowledge, kindness and lets not forget humor, takes my breath away at times.
Where else can someone find such a combination in such a large quantity?

So back to my point!  

My 5,000th post is just around the corner so my question is this, what should I talk about?  

One final thing, it looks like I'm going to sell my Mk1 who seems to have a death wish and aptly named don't you think.  
I'll still be around the Mk1 scene and of course the Club, for followers of the winter competition 'GAP' there will be at least one more season and then maybe someone else will take over, taking it to a new level if you will.

That's a fair post count Mike, but then to be fair you have contributed a lot to the club so thank you for that.

If you do choose to sell (and I really hope you don't) I personally hope that you do stay around - and of course continue with GAP - one of the most entertaining threads we've had on the forum  

Perhaps your 5000th post should be photos of having an exorcism (or similar) performed on your car? I don't think it's possessed as such, but there's some bad karma hanging around it for the incidents you've had with it.

That could be the start of a whole new chapter perhaps?

How it ever caught you I will never truely understand 😳 I think you wanted caught and abused slowly and gently for minutes, I mean hours, in fact in pure tortoise style it's still going on to this day, they take so long to do anything

Mike I nearly bought a book sticker last weekend.

Black about 4 inches square with the head and hands of Jesus and it says underneath,  "Jesus on board " but not sure even that's enough to stop the accidents from happening in a Country that 78% of the population is Catholic!

Wow Chris, when that happening then?
