Filler neck

 I know we have been promised fine weather this w/end but I've gotta replace my knackered filler neck and start my rear disc conversion.Any assistance would be most welcome! Not expecting any offers because you'll all be out on the road…

filler neck is pretty straight forward, make sure you get one for your model (tin top or cabbie)

Filler neck is easy enough to replace if the hose at the bottom of it comes off.. can be quite a tight fit to get back on the hose - you can 'sweat' it on there with hot water.

Rear disc conversion is straight forward enough, just make sure you have the right handbrake cables 👍

Filler neck done Yesterday. Wasn't that bad,took the 'time for a cuppa' approach…got those slightly longer h/brake cables for my conversion.Fink I'll tackle that next w?end. Cheers guys..

I think mines got a tin top filler neck

what does everyone think, should I replace it with the proper cabriolet one?, theres some pattern ones on ebay for around £50.

The main issue you can have from having the tintop filler neck in your cabby Alps is that it wont sit square on the body panel, so your filler cap looks lop-sided.

If that bothers you then change it, if not and yours isn't rusty then you may as well leave it as is

yep sits a little wnky, not too bad tho, I think I`ll live with it then

anyone know cheapest place to get the filler neck sticker to cover the screws?
also need a genuine fuel cap with the flap
