Crome Kits

Does anyone know of a reasonable kit for Cromeing? Quite fancy a few Crome bits but don't want to pay massive prices, so wondered if a DIY crome kit was a good idea

I know jellybelly fid some bits so while ago with a kit
There's various finishes so you can get chrome nickel finish or even get hold playing kits.
I bought one ages ago off EBay but never hot round to using it though.,

Where are you based. I live near Solihull and next to Lifford Lane tip B303JJ there is a place that re-plates door knobs and such like. I would use somewhere like this as it is not just the chrome kit but the pre polish prep work that gives the finish. No idea on costs as never had it done for myself.

Backinblack you're right prep is the key to a good finish. There's various stages to the process including making a pickle solution. I think there's some vids on YouTube that would outline proceedures.
I think the kit I have in my shed was a caswell one off eBay?
