For sale, a 1984 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF MK1 CABRIOLET KARMANN GTI.

Bought in May 2008, the car has been steadily and considerately restored - many man hours put in!  It is in fabulous condition both inside and out.  Dry stored over the winter months and covered when out for summer.

It has been kept as standard as possible - aside from the FK Coilovers - and maintained to a very high standard.

The majority of the parts have been sourced from CrazyQuiff or VW Heritage and there are many receipts for the work that I've not done myself.

Below is a list of the work done to the car over the last 7 years.

Exterior

Full outer body re-spray in original colour (back to bare metal)

New Mohair Hood (including new insulation and new black headliner) - professionally fitted

New windscreen seal

New FK Coilover suspension

Refurbished 15” Golf GTi/Corrado G60 Original BBS Alloys with new tyres

Mechanical

Cylinder Head reconditioned (including new valves, guides, skim etc…)

Full gasket set, cambelt & tensioner, waterpump, alternator, plugs, leads, battery, filters and various hoses all replaced during engine rebuild

Clutch repair plate and full gear linkage repair kit

Brakes - new discs and pads on the front - new drums, pads and pistons on the rear

Interior

Replacement (original Gti) full interior seats and door-cards from a 1986 cabriolet

New full carpet-set and sound proofing

Audi 80 centre console gauges – Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Voltage – all working

Seat slider bushes renewed

Electrics & Other

Certified CAT1 Cobra Immobiliser (1 fob only)

Replacement of wiring where required

Fitted outdoor StormForce car cover with straps and security lock

Box full of bits n bobs collected over time.
